We have just returned from the occidential grand,Punta Cana. Exterior-well maintained.Interior of our room was disgusting.Severly scratched furniture-moldy drapes and a large hole in our entrance door.Rm 14203.Also,no satisfaction and we had booked a deluxe suite,but even a regular room,should not look like this.We have been traveling for over thirty years and have never seen a room like this. We will not be back.

Formidable voyage, nous étions moi et mon mari avec 5 jeunes adultes 17 à 23 ans, ils ont eu du plaisir, température parfaite, très belle place, du fun en masse en un mot!

Très belle plage, la nourriture est excellente.
Endroit très propre.
et le monde est Super Gentil.

Ça été de belles vancances.

My fiancee and i went to this hotel in the month of august, one week before the hurricane, and we stayed for 2 weeks. My first negative comment is about the hotel. The hotel is one of the older hotels on the strip and it definitely shows... Some of the concrete structures have large cracks on them and the management doesnt seem to address the issues, which concerned me.

I would rate the the overall service as bad because some of the people working there dont seem like they want to be working there and it is reflective of the quality of service which is given to the customer; however, the service in the hotel buffet area is excellent and the service at the main bar is excellent but i found the drinks were intensely strong.

My fiancee and i had the Jr. suite on the 3rd floor of building 12. The room's view was great, the king size bed was great, but the bathroom was less than acceptable; the toilet leaked, the tub didnt drain water properly after taking a shower, and the air conditioning started leaking the second week we were there. Even after i notified the concierge, nothing was done about it (it leaked about 1/2 cup of water over a one day period from about 9am to 5pm). During the hurricane, we had water coming in from the adjacent rooms... being on the third, you'd expect the roof to be leaking but it surprisingly wasnt.

The beach and pool are extremely well taken care of and there are tons of activities to do including daily water aerobics, which was fun. I personally found the shows at the hotel were VERY repetitive and quite boring.

All in all, I would definitely go back to dominican republic, spicifically punta cana, but i will not go back to this hotel. During the day, there are enough activities to do to get your mind off the hotel's imperfections and quality of service, but when the sun goes down and want to enjoy an eventful evening, it just doesnt happen.
